Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (awesome!)

* First of all, i apologize for the amazing lateness of this blog post. We watched HP even before the nationals!! so this is an extremely lambated blog post, due to the fact i'm rather lazy to update my blog, too much hassle lah.. anyways, e-n-j-o-y this ancient post.. hahahahahaha...*

HP was sooooooo amazing!! ok lah..i'll start my story from the beginning..the 4 of us: Becky, Anlynn, Sarah and i planned to watch the latest HP movie together..*Panda din come 'cause she's not a HP fan* We all pakat wanna watch it at MBO, the nicest and newest cinema in BP mah.. So sarah bought the tickets for Friday night at 6.15pm...

sarah had already watched HP the night before, on the day of the premiere! Lucky girl!! aiyaa, she's gonna watch it 6 times!! =) 'Cause it's the 6th movie, duhh.. xD

okkk..
she said the movie was good, but we all (especially me) told her not to tell us anything about it, wanna see for ourselves. She cried alot during the movie, especially when Dumbledore died. That was totally to be expected. I had already predicted my tears at the ending of the movie.

Though I must admit that when i read that part in the book, i cried my eyes out.. Before you all think i'm some wimpy little crybaby, allow me to say this: I make others cry more than I cry myself! Let that be a reminder for all of you.. ^^

I cry mostly when i happen to read something saddening or heart-wrenching in books. Examples are: i cried when Sirius Black died (my ultimate favourite character in the HP series), when Cedric Diggory died (I felt it was a waste to kill off such a goodlooking character), when Dumbledore died (That was really shocking and stunning), when Fred Weasley died (I've always adored the twins. Without Fred, the twins would no longer exist, 'cause there's only a one-eared George left), when almost everybody died..

B-U-T...
i'm not mad enough to cry when Voldemort died, in fact i rejoiced!!

moving on to the movie..

Anlynn and Sarah were already there at MBO by the time Becky and i got there. We went in, found our places and sat down..

Sarah had brought M&Ms!!!!! sobs sobs..

sooo, under such torturous circumstances, Becky and i went out to buy M&Ms for ourselves..

hehehe..(i finished my M&Ms even before 10 minutes of the movie was up..)

And then a pre-movie drama occured, starring Sarah and some random fat dude!! (i KNOW it's not nice to call people fat, but this guy is an exception.) LOL
Here it goes: We find our seats, like normal people, and we sit down. like sane people.. we're chatting and messing about, when suddenly this plumpish guy (happy now?!) approaches us and tells us that we're sitting in HIS seat!! Neither of us believed it, so Sarah checked our seat number. And "Voila!" we were NOT sitting in his seat!! We, or more accurately, Sarah told him this. Yet His Royal Highness INSISTED that we ARE sitting in his seat!! F-i-n-e, we get up and find another seat, though we don't see why we have to, since THAT guy is in the wrong.. By this time Sarah is hopping mad, and we have to restrain her from going over to that guy (we always end up having to restrain Sarah, in Batu Pahat AND in Kedah! But that's another equally if not more interesting story)..

So, Sarah double-checks the the tickets, in case we slipped up. But, N-O! That guy was sitting in OUR seats, and still has the audacity to claim that WE made a mistake! That was the final straw for Sarah. She went up to that guy and told him repeatedly that he was in our seats and would he be so kind as to get up and leave us in peace? Would you believe, he STILL refused! This time we restrain Sarah with twice the effort and sit down in some other seats. T-H-E-N, after awhile, His Royal Plumpness gets off our seats, and ends up sitting in the row in fron of us, DIRECTLY opposite Sarah! Hahaha.. Sarah now has the perfect opportunity to kick his seat, accidentally on purpose. But Sarah switches seats with..err...I've forgotten who now. My bad! xD

Alright, i shall now start describing the movie(about freakin' time!), as detailed as my retarded mind can manage.

errrr...
hmmmm...
ahhh...

actually all i can really remember about the movie is how awesome Tom Felton a.k.a Draco Malfoy (!!!!) and Professor Snape acted and Dumbledore's death.. hahaha, paiseh lah..

I have never liked Tom acting as Draco, 'cause i always thought his hair was weird, basically his whole self looked cacated. However, watching him in the HBP, i was forced to eat my words. He was, to put it bluntly, H-O-T!! He has grown soo much taller and looks amazing!!! When i told Sarah this, she said smugly: "I told you!'' And she certainly did!! Actually Tom looks like a certain someone i know, though i'm NOT going to name names here. Hahaha..

Oh yeah, i almost forgot..

If you are the type of person who absolutely LOVES smoochy scenes in movies, then HBP is just the movie for you. Too bad i'm not! I nearly puked at the alarming frequency of romantic scenes in HBP!! Reading it i the book was ok, but actually seeing it up close and personal on the big screen was, to say the least, DISGUSTING.. Especially the Ron/Lavender bits! Oohh, given half the chance i would've ripped Lavender's stupid face off for Hermione. The Harry/Ginny bits weren't THAT bad, just bad enough. But then again, i'm the type of person who cannot stand too much romance, maybe that's why i hate Romeo and Juliet (sorry, Sarah!)..

Emma Watson acted great in the movie, and she's really pretty! Ron was soo adorable in HBP!! Especially when he unknowingly drank the Love Potion, that was c-l-a-s-s-i-c.. I'm glad he and Hermione get together in the end, though Sarah is in total support of Hermione/Draco (NOOO!!)..

okay, moving on to the saddest part in the movie: Dumbledore's death or murder..

For you guys who have read all 7 of the books, you all would know that Snape isn't the 'bad guy' and didn't kill Dumbledore of his own accord, since Dumbledore had arranged it and blah blah blah. For most of you who haven't read the entire series, and are stuck with the "Snape is still loyal to Lord Voldermort and is Dumbledore's murderer!!" mentality, well, now you know the truth. Sorry to disappoint you, but i can't allow Snape's reputation to go down the drain! Anyhow, if this makes you feel better, Snape is murdered by Voldemort in the 7th book. Happy now, you sadistic people?

When Dumbledore got blasted off the tower and was falling, falling, falling, Sarah was already crying! And this is the 2nd time she's seen it! she might even cry all 6 times watching this scene.. i felt like crying but didn't actually cry until i saw him sprawled on the ground.. Becky heard me sniffing and went: "Sof, are you crying?" I didn't trust myself to answer, but Becky knew and told Anlynn. Anlynn just stared incredulously at Sarah and me. Hahahaha.. Sorry, but that was a really sad scene and anyway Sarah cried worse!! =)

That was the entire movie, though with a lot less detail. Another boring part of the movie was Voldemort's lack of appearance. *sigh* Never mind, he'll make his comeback in Deathly Hallows! xD

~ Next blog post (hopefully) will be about the Debate Nationals in Kedah..~
